For Nigerian hospitals and clinics

Hospital software built for Nigerian care teams.

Designed around how clinics here actually work: walk-ins that outnumber bookings, payment at the desk or by transfer, a team that is often one person wearing three hats, and no appetite for buying a server.

Built for the local reality

Software written for the way clinics run here.

Imported systems are usually designed for a hospital with a dedicated IT department, pre-booked appointments and card payment. Very little of that describes a typical Nigerian facility.

The walk-in is the default, not the exception. A patient arrives without an appointment, is seen, has a test, collects medication and pays — sometimes in cash, sometimes by transfer, sometimes in two parts. Any system that cannot follow that sequence without being bent out of shape will be abandoned within a month.

MediLounge starts from that flow. Walk-ins sit alongside booked appointments in the same queue. A visit can raise a lab order and a prescription before anybody reaches the accounts desk. Invoices are raised in Naira against the visit they belong to, and a transfer payment is recorded against that invoice rather than in a separate book.

The other local reality is infrastructure. Because MediLounge is web-based, a facility does not buy a server, run a cable or maintain a backup routine. When the power or the connection drops, the work pauses and then resumes on the same record.

  • Invoicing in Naira, settled online through Flutterwave or at the desk
  • Walk-in queue treated as the primary flow, not an afterthought
  • No server, no installation, no per-machine licence
  • Works on the hardware a clinic already owns

What this changes

The difference shows up on a busy morning.

The queue stops being a guess

Walk-ins and booked appointments share one waiting list, so the front desk can tell a patient what happens next instead of asking them to wait and hope.

Payment matches the visit

An invoice is raised against a real visit with real line items. Online payment through Flutterwave is verified before it is marked paid, and transfer or cash lands on the same invoice.

One record instead of four books

Registration, consultation, dispensing and billing all write to the same patient profile, so the register, the card file and the accounts ledger stop disagreeing.

Access that matches the team

A receptionist cannot open a laboratory result; a pharmacist cannot rewrite a consultation. Roles are enforced by the system, not by trust and a shared password.

A day the owner can actually read

Volume, queue, outstanding balances and low stock on one screen — the numbers a proprietor asks for at 6pm, without anybody compiling them by hand.

A pace people can keep up with

Clear hierarchy and sensible defaults matter when the person using it is also answering the phone. MediLounge is deliberately calm, so it is usable at 8am and at 11pm.

Who it is for

From a single department to a full hospital.

Private hospitals

Run registration, consultation, laboratory, pharmacy and accounts as one operation instead of five parallel ones.

Clinics and practices

A smaller team gets the same record and the same billing trail, without the modules it has no use for.

Diagnostic centres

Laboratory orders arrive with the requesting clinician and the patient attached, and results return to the same visit.

Groups and multi-site facilities

Every hospital is its own tenant with its own data, staff and numbering, so expansion does not blur the records.

Frequently asked questions

Straight answers, no hedging.

What is hospital management software?

Hospital management software is a system that runs the administrative and clinical work of a hospital or clinic in one place: patient records, appointments, consultations, laboratory orders, pharmacy stock, billing and staff access. MediLounge covers all of these in a single workspace so that a change made by the front desk is immediately visible to the doctor, the pharmacist and the accounts team.

Can MediLounge work for a small clinic as well as a large hospital?

Yes. The same system runs a single-room practice and a multi-department hospital. A small clinic typically registers patients, books appointments, records consultations, dispenses and bills — all of which are available from the first day. Departments, roles and staff invitations only become necessary as the team grows, and nothing needs to be reconfigured to add them later.

Does MediLounge handle online payment?

Yes. Invoices can be settled online through Flutterwave, and the payment is verified against the provider before the invoice is marked paid. Cash and transfer payments are recorded through the same invoice, so the balance a patient sees is the same balance the accounts team sees.

Do I need to buy a server or install anything?

No. MediLounge is web-based, so there is no server to purchase, no software to install on each machine and no backup routine to maintain. A clinic signs up in a browser and starts using it the same day, which removes the largest single cost of putting a hospital system in place.

Can patients pay online in Naira?

Yes. Invoices can be settled online through Flutterwave in Naira, and the payment is verified with the provider before the invoice is marked paid. Cash and bank transfer payments are recorded against the same invoice, so the balance is accurate whichever way the patient pays.

Will it work if my internet connection drops?

MediLounge needs a connection to serve the live record, because the record is shared by everyone in the building rather than stored on one machine. When the connection returns, the same session resumes against the same data. There is no separate offline database to reconcile afterwards.

Try it with your own day

Set up your hospital in a few minutes.

Sign up, add a patient and book an appointment. If it does not fit the way your clinic runs, you have lost an afternoon rather than a procurement cycle.
